Frequently Asked Questions

How many years of experience do you have?

Though the company is brand new, the owner, Sam Godbey, has been installing floors for some of the largest companies in the country for 35-plus years. He was among the first installers to install epoxy when it was brought into the residential and decorative market. He has done everything from countertops to floors with beautiful finishes such as epoxy, epoxy flake, cementitious overlays, terrazzo, and polished concrete. He cares about what he does, which is why we can proudly say our motto is "You stand on it, We stand behind it!"

Why choose our company?

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and quality workmanship. Our founder, Sam, has been working with floors for most of his life and takes pride in every floor he works on.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, A to Z Decorative Concrete is licensed and insured. All legitimate businesses should have all their paperwork in order and be able to provide you with all the necessary paperwork if requested. It is important for anyone doing a job at your property to be insured just in case a mishap arises during the project.

Can you provide me with a free written estimate?

We would be happy to come to your home or business to measure and give you an estimate of what your job would cost you.

Can you provide us with referrals for your past work?

We would be delighted to provide referrals for some of the local businesses that we have worked with, so you can see the quality of our work firsthand. We never give out our customers' information without their permission.

Will the floors stain?

While our floors are low-maintenance, they can stain if not cleaned properly and maintained. However, we offer a maintenance plan to help ensure that your floor retains its beauty.

How deep is an epoxy floor?

The depth of an epoxy floor depends on the system being installed and can range from 10 millimeters to 1/4 inch.

Does epoxy have a smell?

We strive to use low VOC products, but some of the stronger top coats may have an odor that dissipates within a few hours.

What does the finished epoxy look like?

The appearance of the finished epoxy floor depends on the style you choose, and each product is unique.

Will my epoxy floor turn yellow?

Epoxy floors can yellow due to UV light exposure, but we only install the best UV-stable epoxies and always use Urethane or Polyaspartic as a topcoat to prevent this.

How long will my floor last?

Epoxy floors are highly durable and, with regular maintenance, can last for many years. We offer a maintenance plan to help ensure that your floor lasts.

Is epoxy flooring expensive?

Epoxy flooring is competitively priced compared to other flooring options on the market, making it an excellent value for the money.

What colors and styles are available?

Our epoxy floors come in a wide variety of colors and styles, including marble and quartz aggregate.

How long does installation take?

Most floors take only a few days, but we factor in drying time between coats to ensure that the finished product is of the highest quality.

Will my floor be slippery?

Most epoxy floors have an anti-skid surface, and we can add this to a clear coat if necessary. Our epoxy garage floors have flakes in them, adding style, protection, and texture to prevent slipping.

Where can an epoxy floor be installed?

Epoxy floors can be installed in a variety of locations, including schools, libraries, cafeterias, hotels, lobbies, showrooms, industrial plants, homes, kitchens, commercial kitchens, manufacturing facilities, garages, patios, retail and shopping centers, gyms, and many other places.

What is epoxy flooring?

There are numerous benefits to choosing epoxy flooring, including its low cost, stain resistance, and glossy finish. Epoxy floors are highly durable and can be customized with patterns, swirls, and colors.
